Default Vibration from hell

On my way back from Laconia my 03' Wide Glide picked up a horrible vibration. It started as just an annoying tap I could feel in my pegs but has now transformed into a full blown teeth rattler. I know that the dynas vibrate more but I've owned this bike since 04 and have never felt anything like this. I can watch my bike almost hop off the ground at idle, I can barley hold onto her for more than a 15 min ride. . . . Any ideas out there ? Visually the mounts seem fine but I've never owned a rubber mounted bike before. I'm praying that it's not a lower end issue. Other than the vibration it seems to run fine. . . . . . Help

I would bet on the motor mounts. Many here have modified their mounts to lessen vibration. Search on "motor mount". My 06 Ultra had a motor mount failure and vibrated like crazy especially at idle.

Front motor mount is the first place I would check.

Change out the front motor mount. They are rubber and rubber breaks down from heat, time, oil. All those provided by are bikes.

What they said. I developed a bad vibe, and it turned out to be motor mounts.

Low and behold . . . .it was the front mount. The center fell right out of it when I took it apart. Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know of a company that makes a urethane replacement ? Seems like it would be a no brainer but I can't seem to find one and I would hate to spend a hundred bucks on another crap piece of rubber.

It needs to be rubber.....and it lasted you seven or eight years depending on when the bike was made.
