Default New FXD

Just traded my 09 sportster custom for a 10 FXD. Great, smooth ride. However I'm a little over 6' so I'm taking it in for the forward mounts.
Also getting windshield.

.SWEET!!!!!!I wanted the forward controls when I bought the 2010 FXDC but refused to pay the $700 HD wanted for parts and labor.....I will attempt to add myself with a helping hand from a good friend......my problem is;I dont know which mod to begin with(exhaust,controls,etc..)It will be a slow process(maybe a year or two)but when she is done it will be well worth the wait

I just purchased the 2010 FDX also. I financed the bike with Forward Controls, Auxiliary Running Light / Brake Light / Turn Signal Conversion Kit, and V&H Straightshots HS Slip-ons. I am a little concerned about popping on decel. The dealer told me I do not need to do anything if I am just doing a slip on. Should I go with the quite baffles to eliminate the popping if it occurs? I read they create more back pressure. I can not afford to do any type of tuner right now.

I traded in my 2002 FXWDG on the 2010 FXDC. I loved my Wide Glide.
I'm starting to love the '10. Like the 49mm front end. Very stable.
So far I've done the following:
Full chrome front end lowers kit.
Front turnsignal relo kit.
Brake, turn & running light modual.
Swaped out both front and rear disc's for full floating
with black center & chrome bolt kit.
Stage 1 kit & download.
Chrome forward controls. (A life saver for my knees).
Khrome Werkes tapered slip-on mufflers.
Chrome covers for the valve cover bolts.
Smooth chrome points cover.
Some chrome allens here & there.
Next I want to swap out the seat for fastback/gunslinger style.
CC Seats makes a great one for a good price.
I'll have to take some pics soon.

Can I ask why you needed the rpm/mph guide? It should be in your manual.
