Flip the mirrors upside down. Either paint or remove the band on the battery cover. put on smoked lenses for the turn signals and use red bulbs for the rear signals and amber bulbs for the front signals.

Cheap? Probably a tank lift. Best initial? Probably Stage 1 (not cheap though). There is a How To sticky thread on this Dyna section that discusses cheap and free mods. Check it out!

Congrats on the Street Bob. I have a 2010 Black Denim Street Bob myself and love it!

1. Read up on the forum before you due any change. Any mod cheaper if you only do it once.

2. Check the classified section for some good deals.

If you want to save money I would sugest riding it for a while and figure out what direction you want to go with the bike so you dont end up changing something only to change it again later.

Thanks to all for the tips... I'm a new FXDB owner too, and this saved me from asking the same questions!

So far, just doing the handlebar swap... $60 from my local H-D for a set with a little less height.

Cheers,
Kent

Its probably just a stage... I'm an H-D noob. LOL

I've been riding sportbikes and standards for decades, so I'm still adjusting to the more laid-back style.

(I am probably keeping the stock bars on the shelf just in case I want to go back.)

Cheers,
Kent
