Total Newb Peg Problem
I have forward controls on my 2000 new-to-me Dyna FXD. The pegs didn't really allow a lot of room for my big hoofs, so I got some mini-footboards. I went to mount them today, and found quickly that because of the angle in which the boards are mounted, there is no room for my foot to get under the shifter. The boards do not have adjusters so that I can change the horizontal angle. They sit at about a strong 45 degree angle.
I thought about just moving my mid-pegs to the front, and then mounting the boards there, but I would have the same issue, as the mid-peg mounts also cause about a forty-five degree angle to occur. What am I missing? Is there some type of bracket that goes between the peg mount and the boards or pegs that would allow a change in the horizontal angle?
I feel totally dumb...
