Think those Burleys will do well on a Lowrider, or will that be too low?

Hell i say go for it. I love them. Rode today and it really gives it that old school feel. Little stiffer but i love it. Shoot the wife said she loves it when i let out of it and it starts to vibrate. I'm taking her for alot more rides haha makes it more fun when we get back home!!!!

Default Not sure how to PM--sorry to revive an old post

I was wondering if I lower my 96 FXDS Dyna (Burly Slammer) will that not make it so the stock bags will not "clear" anymore? Or I am just confused as usual?
Thanks,

Have you considered moving the forks up into the trees some? To lower the front end.

Default Lowering the front/rear

Yes--I want to drop the whole bike down about 2" if I can (Burly Slammer kit)
I want a lower profile look--I know the ride will suffer--and I may not even do it if my bags won't fit

Default Only about 2" clearance from bag to pipe

If I lower the rear what is the limit I should go down?
1" which leaves about 1" for "travel"
Unless I am mistaken lowering the rear will lower the factory bags?
