Default The harley Cough

Hi everyone, looking to solve my 1995 low rider cough.
Is this carb related, or coil related? I have cleaned my carb and I am thinking to replace my coils because they may be breaking down and causing a miss firing.
Any sugestions?

Battery Cables tight on both ends? have you torn down the carb and made sure the diaphram is intact (no tears or pinholes?)

Pull the top of the cv carb and put 2 #4 washers under the needle, problem solved. the problem is the lean condition when light throttle is applied, raising the needle will richen the light throttle condition but won't hurt the mileage much if at all.

I agree with most other responses, Its most likely a lean condition. Either caused by jetting or manifold leak. Check for a leak around manifold before messing with anything else. Carb cleaner sprayed around manifold works well. If there is a leak your engine will either speed up or slow down.

Thanks, should I change the main jet or what if it's not a manifold leak and if so how much of an increase?

Slow down. First check for leaks. Before you start changing jets, tell us about the bike. Is it bone stock or has it been modified with pipes and an air cleaner assembly? If its been modified then probably its had the jets changed already.
