Question Screaming Eagle air cleaner kit for Super Glide Custom

Has anyone had a Screaming Eagle air cleaner kit (Heavy Breather or Ventilator) kit installed on a newer Super Glide / Custom? Any information/pics would be appreciated. Also, did you upgrade your pipes at the same time?

I have the SE ventilator on my new Superglide. Here's a crappy pic of it. But I can't really comment on what kind of difference it makes, because I had that, the stage II 103 kit, and the V&H exhaust added when I bought the bike. All I can say is that I like the way it looks, and I like that it doesn't stick out a whole bunch.

I had the heavy breather on my Super Glide and liked it alot.

I had slip-ons on the bike then added the Heavy breather and PCV. I later switched to a D@D Fatcat exhaust.

bberck: Did you install yourself or have it installed? How much is involved in the ECM calibration for the EFI? How much improvement did you see with performance. Also, can you only use it with stock pipes to be street legal or did I dream this up?

I installed it myself and there isnt much to it. I used a PCV for the EFI and its a easy install as well. I added the breather and PCV at the same time so i noticed a nice improvement in both performance and the bike running cooler.

As far as street legal it probally doesnt take much add -ons for a bike to no longer meet epa guide lines so that may be true but I have no idea.

I was thinking about getting the SE Air Cleaner, but ended up going with the Kury Velociraptor stack. Love the way the SE's look though.

bberck: Dumb question but what does PCV stand for? I asked the dealer for the cost of the breather and installation. They informed me that I of course also had to go with slip on SE pipes/tuner and also perform the ECM calibration for the EFI. The total is almost $1400. Any ideas for going less expensive?

bberck: I installed the se kit and have a wire that connected to stock air cleaner and nothing to connect it to. the directions don't mention this wire. What did you do with it. I have a 2010 wide glide.

Thanks
