Hi again from Oregon
Sorry my first post was only a large picture. Haven't got the techniques of the forum down yet. I purchased the '02 Low Rider in June and have been making friends with it since. Rode metric bikes 1974-91 and then quit to build a house, raise kids, et al. The urge has been there though and I rented a few Harleys and rode some friends bikes (those are real friends). Decided it was time for one of my own and I love it. Sure handles different than the smaller bikes I had before. Feels solid and has power! I have been reading the posts and learning from the more experienced Harley riders here and want to become involved.

. Oh, and maybe make the pic a little larger... 640x480 is a good max image size.

Howdy from Dallas. I learned from riding my cousin's Aero home for him that the small metrics are untenable for me. Sure they are light, but are too cramped and underpowered.
Welcome to the Forum and to Harleys! I also rode metrics since I was 18. Bought my 1st Harley in 05 a 2006 XL1200L ) and since traded it for my Current Harley ( 07 Steet Bob ). I agree its a totaly different ride isnt it! Harleys just feel like no other , solid, powerful , and drenched in tradition. I wonder why it took us so long to buy one, took me 26 years
Anywyas grats again and have fun!

I just bought my first harley in Feb. 06. It was a 1200 custom sportster. I sold it in Feb. 07 and purchased my 03 Wide Glide. I love the Dyna and plan on holding on to it for a while.

I'll be working out in Southern Portland area (Tualatin) for 2 weeks starting midday tomorrow. I've been out there 3 times now and love it. My bet is you won't be returning from where you came from.
