the battery cover would look better if it was painted to match the tank and fenders?
I was thinking that something was missing, don't know if I want to add a little chrome or what, until I thought about painting the battery cover.

 

Its kinda funny you should mention that. I just went yesterday and got the part number for the paint on my Superglide's Fire Red Pearl to do the very same thing. I'm planning on painting the electrical cover, battery box, and upper belt guard. I think it would give it a lil different look.

Now that you guys are talking about it ,I think it would complete the bike . I`d go for it !

I tried to paint the electrical cover but it didn't turn out so well with the pics I have.

Go ahead, paint yours and then post pics. That way we can get an idea of what it looks like. That way none of us have to take a chance on screwing up the look of our beloved hogs.

 

I say paint it and get the chrome band with the Harley script on it. It is a really nice looking pice for the money.

I sort of did the same thing. I swapped my wrinkle finish parts for the gloss ones from my brother's Superglide.

I think it improved the look of both bikes.

It looks like I painted the parts vivid black. We traded both covers and the belt guard.

 

I like the idea of a painted battery cover. I just wish they offered one with the gold flames collection. I've seen one with the skull on it, very cool.

 

Yea, hot pink would look really good next to that cobalt blue.

 

just buy a extra one on ebay for $5.00 and try it on that one.so if you screw that one up then,you dont mess yours
up

I don't have much of an opinion about the battery cover but the first time I saw the one on my '06 I thought it looked like a @#@@&&**@##% Wal Mart Toaster!!!!
