I know this has been discussed before but i couldnt find what i was looking for in search. Im wanting to lower the engine idle of my 2010 WG, my 06 street bob was set at 980rpm. What im wondering is what is aa low but safe idle speed for the twin cam. Thanks

 

put a huge low end cam in it. it will lop then

 

I just discussed this yesterday. I was told 920 was as low as you'd want to go. You'll have to have the dealer do it or somebody that can access your control module. If you have a tuner that can lower idle that would also do it. Keep in mind that you have to watch your oil pressure because it will drop the more you lower you idle. 920 is probably to low with out doing something to raise your oil pressure.
