Home made quick detach saddle bags (how to with pics)
#51
I have to say.
I´ve been reading HDForums since 2013, but I had to register an account today just to say "Thank you, *******".
This project is awesome. I´m about to apply it in my '18 FLHC.
I´ve actually considered buying some Cyclevisions Barebacks or some EasyBrackets, but the current dollar-to-brazilian real quote is killing me, so I decided to make my own kit after reading everything in this topic a few times.
In my case I have a cheapo aftermarket passenger backrest (also detachable and with dockings) which I didn´t like and had replaced for an OEM one. As after a few months I still haven´t found a buyer for it, I plan to use it as "base material" for the detachable bags mod.
I plan to keep the third support point on mine.
I´ll let you guys know how it goes.
