They are both nice bikes but I'm partial to the wide glide myself you do have the right idea to test ride them whatever you choose will be a good bike and you will enjoy either one

I like mine now.

2010 Street Bob with extras.
A friend has a Fat Bob, and I really liked his seat. The seat on the FB is a really nice seat. I had to get one for the longer 200+ mile rides. Really anything under 100 miles with the stock SB seat is a killer on the tail bone.

I have some prior work commitments I can't reschedule or I'd be at that show too.

I saw 'em a few years ago at Pop's. Towards the end of the show, I felt something hit my shoulder and instinctively grabbed it and it was a pic. After that I noticed Mike Ness was playing without one where he normally uses one. I don't know for sure, but I assume that he lost it while playing and I got a nice little souvenier.

I also moved from a Sporty to a Dyna. (kept the Sporty) Keep looking, the bike will find you. I was looking at the Fat Boy Low, Wide Glide, & Fat Bob. I only needed to sit on them to decide. I was leaning toward the Fat Bob on looks already & couldn't be happier.

If I had the choice between the two I would go for the WG but either way you decide, prepare to be amazed because both are miles and miles above sportsters. Plus you will never hear another girls bike comment again

With the Dyna's being all the same platform, it's real easy to mix and match and create just want you want.
The Wide Glide does have a bit more rake, which can be expensive to change on a bike, everything else is just bolts and sheetmetal...

I would pick the Fat Bob, because they look good with saddlebags...You can set it up for a bagger or not, looks good either way....I love my Low Rider, but would never put saddlbags on it....Good luck.....

STL here too. I have a 2011 Superglide, but I really liked the feel of the WG. I kinda wish I had bought one. Anyway, where are you buying from? My cousin got a really good deal from Docs, but everyone else I know hates them, including me. I have excellent credit and they just didn't want to budge on the interest rate from Harley. I went to Gateway and even though the salesperson was new and clueless, I got the same bike plus a giftcard, and 4 points lower in the interest rate also from Harley. Just saying be careful. If you want, use me as a referral and they will give me a giftcard for $100 and you can have it.
