Tell us your secret!

Are you running a tuner and a stage 1 or just the aftermarket pipes?

I was getting 50mpg HWY going between 70-80 mph all stock with V&H slip ons and I'm not lightweight. I have short shots now, with a PCV and new AC. I haven't been ridding HWY much lately since it rains all the time and I live so close to work now.

I have a buddy with an AC, V&H big radius 2-1 and TTS and he gets between 50-55 mpg hwy and mid 40's in town.

I don't think 55mpg is BS. Just a bunch of haters out there for what ever reason.

I wouldn't call us haters. That's not very nice! I do not ride on the highway so, I guess I will never know what my mpg is. My Dyna likes the twisties here in the mountains of WNC.

A1A it must be this great mountain air, the twisties heck I don't know. I'm like you I ride the back roads mostly. I average 43.6 to 44.6 on almost every fill up. First got the bike 51mpg on 3 different fill ups. Will admit the 2into1's sound better than the slip ons did...lol Hard to start out at 100rpm above idle than shift anymore.

My mileage dropped off significantly when I added the PCIII. The bike was running too lean/hot so more fuel brought the temps down. Also, added Bassani 2-1 Road Rage and loved the sound, so twisting the throttle wide open doesnt help mileage.

In any case, your getting better mileage than driving a cage.

Hey Dyna105! Nice looking 2 into 1 I will have to admit. Good looking bike! I moved to WNC to get away from the straight and flat roads of living on the east coast of FL. I wish I had moved here YEARS ago. Enjoy the ride. Maybe I will see you on the back roads sometime. I live just 22 miles out of Asheville.
