Cant say i would call B.S. I would have till i saw the differance between me and my wife.

Me. 2010 Wide Glide. Average 42 miles per gallon on any given day...mixed highway and local riding. Max ever gotten 50 on a 200 mile 50mph straight road.

Wife. 2010 Street Bob. Average 50 miles per gallon on any given day. mixed highway and local riding. Max, I think she averaged it at close to 60 mpg one trip.

So yeah....55 mpg for me is B.S. For some it seems possible. Bastards....

It's only BS if you run it hard and wide open all the time.

I took two big trips last summer. And my buddy and I (he has an '07 Softy Std, 96", 6spd) each averaged close to 52-53 mpg on both trips on the highway.

In town, I average between 30-40, depending on my mood........

I definitely believe it. When i had basically the same set up on my 2007 street bob only with the dealer download i got 55+ on long trips doing around 60mph, of course thats nice smooth riding not taking off overly fast just cruising. I didnt ever believe it but i checked my mileage at every fill up and it was always very good.

Sounds like you did a consistent 55 mph for 127 miles to achieve the 55 mpg.

I can't drive 55!

Default Mileage

I think it is possible if your a lightweight and your wrist steady and slow on the throttle, but then it's about mileage and not fun...
