I have a Bob and wouldnt ever toss a shield or Bags on it . I just am of an opinion that it defeats the look and purpose of the Bob ( thats just my opinion and I know...we all have em ). However , I must say that they look good on your bike !!. They dont take away from the look of it at all. Gotta say I like em!

First of all, beeeeeuutiful bike (of course I may be biased).

Second, The concept behind the Bob is that stripped down, sleek look. kind of like the James Dean rebel bike. I don't think bags are right. I am also, however, practical. You need some storage for trips, otherwise you can't even stop for groceries. I think you need to keep the bike sleek, which means to not add anything to it that will "widen" the bike.( and you dont want to cover those beautiful springs). I have ordered the 2 part luggage system for my bike. It has a small luggage rack and the packs pile up on there. It has a large bag for travelling (it fits alot of stuff) and a small round bag for everyday. You can use either one or both or throw them in your garage and take off and not disturb the look af the bike. My 2 cents.

I like it, might have to do the same on mine. Maybe I should have bought a Street Glide.

Don't know exactly. They come in leather and that should not be much different than bags, or they also come in black nylon or luggage type material that will save you some$. That would look fine on a bob.

It doesn't matter what the rest of us think. It's your ride and if your happy then life is great.

the bags are leather with a hard molded plastic inside so they wont drop over time. with tax, mounting hardware, and bags it was about 750-800.
