I have the Bassani road rage 2 on my 2011 Fat Bob and no scraping at all. I ride very hard, the rubber over my foot pegs are worn down to the metal. When I had the stock exhaust on they scraped all the time. The Bassani looks low in pictures put it actually has a nice upsweep to them.

I'm thinking of getting these pipes too, I have a similar build as the OP.
98in big bore kit, 10.5/1, S&S 510G cams, Mikuni HSR45 carb, Rev Perf stage II heads

I think I'm gonna get the MEGA power also but in chrome. My bike is blue not black so i think the billet end cab might look better as all chrome for me. Might try and see if i can get a chrome one. You said you went with the MEGA power instead of the B1 because the B1 is for bigger engines, did they say if there would be a sound difference?

I have V&H short shots now i run without baffles. I think that really hurts my low end which is why i'm going to a 2-1, hope i get some good power gains.

I hope that these Bassanis are loud enough for my liking. Would you say theyre pretty loud? I want obnoxious ear shattering kinda loud which is hard to find and keep tone. The Road Rage seems like a good compromise.

If you have an older Dyna, I would steer clear. The performance and sound are awesome, but the pipe just simply doesn't fit very well on the older Dyna frame. I have very little clearance between the pipe and my frame downtube, and also the same problem with the mid-footpeg.

I took a dremel and trimmed down the heatshield near the downtube because it was actually rubbing.

I have seen the pipe installed on 06+ Dynas and it fits like a glove. I just think it is hard to make a pipe properly fit such a broad range of years. They list fitment as 1991-2012.

And, they are loud. They were not loud until I did my engine build, now it is almost too much for me, I may look into a quieter baffle at some point.

One final note, I have actually scraped the bottom of the pipe twice in a hard turn.

This might be a better option, almost the same pipe but it lists fitment as 1991-2005 instead of 1991-2012 like the other one:

On the Bassani website

Part # 13212J is listed as Road Rage

Part # 1D12R is listed as MEGA power

I think the 13212J would look better on my bike because its all chrome. I was concerned about fitment also since it list so many years. I have a 2000 same as you so ill prolly have the same issues. Do you know if 1312J has any other difference from 1D12R? I am afraid it might not sound as good, doesnt say anything on the website about it really being different at all. Maybe it doesnt have the 02 sensor ports in it and thats why it only fits up to 05?

Put mine on last week. Its a great pipe! I changed from V&H shoties and am really happy with the note/volume and also the power of the bike. It really suits the bike and has gotten rid of that tinny mid range sound from the former pipes.
