Default Heat wrap question?

Ok guys here we go. The guy that's wrapping my pipes say he has a problem. What do you do about the o2 hole. I guess that's what is called. Do you leave it open and wrap around it, or do I need to weld it and grind it then smooth it, then wrap it? He seems to think I'll lose power if he just wraps around it and leave it open. I told him I'd consult my experts and get back with him. Thanks guys!

You for sure need to plug it, but you don't have to weld it, they make O2 sensor plugs you can screw in.

What Good Apollo said, plugs are allen head I would use a little anti seize on the plugs
so if you want to ever remove them you can.

I just unplugged my O2's and left them in the pipe and wrapped around them, not a big deal as you can't see them when they're on the bike anyway.

Plug 'em. That way they'll be usable if you (or another owner) ever run a system that needs the sensors. You can get the plugs at any decent hardware store.
