Default A funny thing happened on the way to the photoshoot...

got my newly completed dyna all cleaned up and was going to get some nice shots in an interesting locale...
i made a couple of mistakes...
1. riding a little "over my head"...
2. on a bike with only 250 miles on it... i didn't "know" the bike...
3 unfamiliar with the territory...

to make it short i highsided it at about 40-50 MPH..
i was on a slippery tar road, and grabbed too much rear brake coming around a sharp curve and it came around and tossed me... so quickly, i still can't believe it...
i've been riding on/off for over 20 years, and it's the first "wreck" i've had..
frankly my pride is damaged more than anything...
got some rash, a tore up shoulder (rotator cuff tear)
and a wrecked bike...

it's all my fault... and i feel like a dope...

Look on the bright side, a little more ink on that right arm after it heals up and no one know the difference. Maybe some flames on that arm!

Makes me think about using my helmet more often. I've never been down in 33 years on the street, but my father went down for the first time last year (front brake locked up) after 53 years on the road. It can happen to anyone. Glad you are there for your kids..................
