Default Old gas

I bought my DL in May. It had 3/4s of a tank and I haven't ridden it much due to circumstances. This bike might have sat a long time before I bought it since the PO bought and put about 6k miles on a CanAm ( Idon'tknowwhy)

I intend to drain the tank and put that gas in my truck..it will burn anything. Will just opening the petcock to the main and then to the reserve into a gas can do the job? Seems like it would, but thought I'd ask to be sure. Thanks

On many HD's the petcock is vacuum actuated. You may have to apply suction to the little black hose running from the carb to the petcock in order for the diaphram to open.

They're good for front fork fluid changes too! (prior 2002.) Have fun....
