Default Mustang wide vintage touring seat vs. standard mustang vintage touring

How much difference is there in comfort? I'm thinking the standard width vintage would look better on my 09 low rider and shouldn't be much less comfy. I'm 6'2 180 , gf is 5'6" 110 so we're both narrow in. the rear end and shouldn't need the wide. I'm size 34 waist. Gonna get the 2 piece with removable driver backrest. Already have sissy bar with pad for her. Thanks

Default Tired 'em both

I ordered the smaller mustang seat and found it to be a bit uncomfortable. It tended to compress things -- exchanged for the wide and found it much more comfortable, allows the legs and *** more room. I'm a bit heavier than you at 240 lb.

I noted that the two seats didn't appear to have that different of a profile when on the bike. I was worried that the wide would hang out, but it matched the width of the rear shocks very well.

If the wide solo looks great on my thin Iron 883, it won't look too big on your bike.

I have the standard and like it a lot, fits me well, that said if I was getting the backrest I would buy the wide rider with the wide passenger. Forget looks,go for comfort.

I've saw alot on here talk about how ugly the wide is. From looking at the mustang site I don't see the standard available for my bike with driver backrest anyway so I don't guess that's even an option for me.

You tell me, so far everyone here and in person says it looks great on my bike, and my bike is even thinner than yours:

I have the Wide vintage solo, and can say it is the most comfy seat I have ever had on any bike.

I doesnt look ugly either, well not to me.

I use a wide solo with a backrest and it looks good and feels great. For a passenger I have the factory seat that goes on the solo rack. It's a good match for the front and only takes a second to put it on.
