i have a sweet vintage springer seat im putting on my fxd. anyone done this? ideas on mounting options? pics would be sweet. ill get mine on soon.

 

I'm making a new seat tank bracket for mine, hope to have it done by Sunday. then I'm going to use some saddle leather (thick live oak) to cover it. I hope to have it all done by the middle of September.

I saw one done, had the chance to sit on it and ride it around for a bit. I really like the way they feel, so I decided to make one for myself.

I have a sprung solo seat on the bike now, and I used it's front mounting bracket as a template on making one for this seat.
