Reviving an old thread rather than posting a new one, has anyone else had issues with their HD unit? Mine isn't but 2 months old, and worked fine at first, but I had a turn signal bulb go out, (or so I thought) so I put in a known-good bulb, but still doesn't light up AT ALL. Pulled the light module out, and lights are back to stock, and working perfectly. I'm assuming the unit shorted out, and finding it safe to assume HD doesn't warranty electrical items, so if I crack the case open, is there anything inside I can replace? A capacitor, resistor, whatever? I have HD P/N 69462-06C

I think HD has a 3 month warranty on electrical!
This happened to me and a few others. Get it back to the store for an exchange... or ideally your money back and get a different unit!

Look at the kits from Custom Dynamics. I'm running the RBT clusters, module, and load equalizer. They do a fantastic job. Unbelievably bright.

I have the solid state badlands unit and it is nice, no heat build up, you can use it with your hazzards for as long as you need to, completely sealed in epoxy, and plug n play.

I added the Harley conversion kit to my Road King. I also added a LED light kit to my tourpak. I've got this thing about having to be seen from behind at all times. To many riders been run over with the excuse "I never saw him"! I still keep eyes in the back of my head, but at least now I've done all I could to be seen.

I had the Harley version turn/brake module on my last bike, they run half voltage to make the turn signals as running lights. When I brake, it made no difference, my buddy didn't see me braking during the day, not a good idea. Bt400 tailstopper is much better, highly recommended.

I noticed the BT300 as well, I think I'd like to have the running lights as well, unless anyone has any feedback against that one?

I have the BT400, got it in 2008. Last summer it crapped out and they replaced it at no charge. Sure beats the HD policy of no electrical returns.

The warranty on Biketronics stuff is not 3 years, it is a lifetime warranty. If you buy from them you also have a 30 trial period which also covers return shipping. I also had an issue
with the brake light function and they had to install a resistor so it would work right. No charge for that either.
