Every fxdxt I have seen has chrome exhaust.

2001w 8k miles seems close to $7k especially with the OEM fairing/bags

It only has 8,355 miles and its a T sport probably about $7500 is right. My FXDX had almost 16,000 miles and had a book value close to $7000 for the same year. I got it for much less though. I would think any twin cam dyna is going to fetch close to $7k at the low end unless it is high mileage. The fact that it is a T sport would bring even more.

Any suggestions on how to pull off a purchase like this? I'm not too comfortable sending a check, having some random uShip guy pick it up, and hoping for the best. Obviously, I'll ask for a photo of the title and frame VIN prior to any money changing hands.

Depends on what makes you comfortable. Most options will cost.

There are professional inspectors that you can pay to inspect it. They are used for those vehicle salvage auctions when your out of the area.

Guess what do you need to know - the bike is clear title, they own it, its not a salvage title, the condition is what they say, it runs, and they are honest.

You could have it taken to a local Harley shop and pay for their inspection. Get the vin and check title background, then pay and setup uship.

ok, with that low mileage, the price is nice. Check the tire date of manufacturer if you end-up buying it. The code is on the sidewall. Doesn't matter what they look like, it's the age of the rubber.
Hope the purchase turns out well for you.

The bike looks pretty clean, but I would also ask about service records. Anyone who takes care of their machine will keep a decent record of the services. Good luck hope all turns out well.
