Default Need new SOFT grips.

Update with pics on page 3

In my quest for too much chrome, I purchased a set of solid billet chrome grips. They look pretty cool but they are not nearly as comfortable as I had hoped. A second feature of the solid grips is they get really cold during winter rides. So, I am open to suggestions for new grips. I am looking for a good balance between nice looking, but very comfortable. I would like the budget to be fifty bucks or less. I see foam, air cushion, rubber and others. What do you suggest and why? Pics please if possible.

Get-A-Grip Hand Grips

Dressed in tactified rubber for superior traction, these elegant hand grips provide a positive connection to the controls in wet or dry weather. The soft touch cross-hatched rubber surface feels good against both gloved and bare skin, and the "thicker in the middle" profile forms a natural fit with your closed fist. Shaped for maximum comfort, Get-A-Grips are available in your choice of standard or magnum diameters to comfortably accommodate almost any size hand. And you don't need to sacrifice style for comfort. Designed to accent any customizing direction, the mirror chrome or gloss black finishes complement both traditional and contemporary looks. The easy-to-install "glueless" design allows you to remove the grips for service without damage.

This product is available in multiple variations. Be sure to look for the one that fits the specific model and year of your motorcycle.

Not too many grips under $50. Are you still looking to keep chrome, or do you want all comfort. The Avon grips look real comfy. I also like the look of the Nostalgic grips.

Thanks for the quick responses. Yes, 50 bucks is just an expectation, not an end all budget. I like what you guys posted, especially the flamed grips. I have heard good things about Avon Renthal....... anyone use these?

I just put a set of Avon grips on yesterday. Went for a short ride today. Only an hour or so but they felt good. I got the black but they have chrome also.http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVON-BLACK-B...#ht_2507wt_905

Why not just wrap the ones ya got with leather?
Talk to Captain Itch, if you do not want to make them yourself.
