Have you tried just taking it off and riding without it? Theres a very slim chance that it will hurt anything. Im not a person that believes a tuner is "necessary". I run a powervision for performance reasons, but went stage 1 for a long time without it with no problems. Assuming of course you have a closed loop system.
First thing I would try is taking it off and wiring it back the way it came stock and see if all is back to normal.

Glad I found saw this thread. I've been running a PCV for over two years without an issue. Now that I'm looking to get the motor built and talking to tuners I've been hearing the PC has a high failure rate on Harleys. EVERYONE I've talked to since moving to Colorado swears by Direct Link. I had never heard of it until I got here. I'll be buying one of their tuners soon.

I'm in the market for a tuner, XIED's aren't cutting it. I see a lot of issues on the forum, but I don't see how it's so hit or miss. I'd rather spend $300 for a warrantied product than $600 for a high-end tuner and $600 for dyno time.

Sorry to thread jack but are there more or less issues when you compare the PCIII to the PCV?

from what i have read all over the internet they both get water in them. dynojet has chimed in on a couple of threads and blames it on the harness boot and not the boot on the pc. ill make sure i get back to yall as soon as i find out the whole problem.

Just to balance the scales a little, I have two bikes, one with a PCIII and the other with a PCV. Combined I have about 12 years and over 100,000 miles on them without a glitch. I wouldn't hesitate one moment buying either of them again, although if I were buying a tuner today it would be a PV.

The problem discussed in this thread, moisture in the connector, can't be blamed on the PC. It's more than likely an install and/or exposure problem.

Regardless, hope the OP gets straightened out soon.

Could always get a powervision. Probably won't get water in it while it's safely in it's box in the house

Same thing happened to me so I just went with SERT. My bike runs a lot better now than it ever did with the Power commander. Don't sell the bike it's sweet and looks like you put a lot of love into it.

First sorry to hear your troubles bro..I have fought with many things on my 2010 SB. So I have been reading this post tonight while at work and figure what the hell. I came home took of my PCV not knowing what to exspect and took her for a ride down the rode. Know I have V&H short shots and an Arlen Ness super sucker. I will have to say I am a very happy with the bike running with the stock set up. It was cooler tonight and the bike wanted to run like a rapped ape and it actually sounded better to me. I will have to ride her in the hot temps and see what I get.
I have been to the point of saying F it and getting ride of the bike due to the **** I had to go throught to get it right, but it is well worth it when I am out there enjoying the ride..Hope u get it right soon man.
