Nope, the only difference is what the bumpers are stuck too. They still do their job!

Here are some pics of the setup.

What the rear looks like without the rear seat.

A close up of the T-Bolt.

The bottom of the seat.

30 seconds to installed / remove.
Thats a lot cleaner than mine. I got my setup off a 2009 streetbob supposedly so the new ones are better designed

I got the one you have, came in today, very happy. Has anyone had any problem with it scratching the fender?

If you look closely at my rear fender you can see some rub marks from the seat. I think they happened while my wife and I were on a trip and we hit some rain for two days and every piece of dirt found it way under the seat. I look at it as a little character, shows that the bike gets use and isn't a garage queen.

I would suggest maybe find something that will act as a soft barrier between the leather and the paint.

Yeah basically this thread was all for not, the newer HD pillions are quick release... I was just researching older threads that referred to the old ones as being a pain. Probably shouldve waiting til mine came in before making a thread worrying about it. Ha.

Nothing to see here.

Mine did make some rub marks on my fender. I'm currently waiting on my new fender to ship under warranty work for a large crack. When I get the new fender on I will probably just be more careful to ensure the fender is super clean before putting the seat on.
