In the same boat with my Fatbob...still looking for the answer. Like the feel and look of apes but I like the control of drags, especially in the canyons. Same with my mid controls. Forwards feel so good, but mids keep me planted in sharp turns better. I gotta keep up with my wife's Ducati...
You say apes or drag bars. Talk about apples to oranges. What do you have right now. I see other saying they liike your pipes and either way they would look good on your wg. I dont see any pics of your wg to sugest which is better. Then again that would only be for looks. For comfort you realy need to sit and ride on one that has apes/drag bars.
My bike is an 06 and has the stock 10 mini apes on them right now. I dont mind how it rides except on long rides my ring finger and pinky on both hands go numb. Right now with these bars when I ride my elbows are at about a 90 degree angle, im thinking stretching my arms out either up or down will help with my fingers going numb hopefully. I actually ordered a T bar this winter but decided I like the looks of the riser and bar separate.
I had t bars on my 07 Wige Glide and just changed to 14" apes for comfort. I liked the looks of the t bars but I had such a pinch in my neck after a few hours of riding, the apes have seemed to work. It will be a while longer before I know for sure.
I just went through the same thing with my 98 lowrider. I wanted apes at first but liked the feel of drag/T-bars. I compromised with Wild1 Outlawz, with the minimal pullback they feel like 12/14 Tbars but have a unique ape-look to them. I went with 10" on 3.5 riser for a around 14" top to bottom and I love them. her are some pics....
