Summertime Mods
Just wanted to post results of my summertime mods and get some feedback on what I should do next.
My ride is a 2006 FXDi35 35th Anniversary Superglide.
Added a Jagg Oil Cooler: I haven't noticed a huge difference yet, but the temperature has risen above 110 the last few days and I am still able to ride without any problem so it must be doing it's job.
Added an Arlen Ness Big Sucker II: Really added some get-up-and-go to the bike (I got the larger Big Sucker II because I plan to do Cams next summer and didn't want to spend money again on a new intake).
Also added a Cobra Fi2000 and just like several others had problems at first. However, the customer service at Cobra is fantastic and shortly we worked out my problems and it has worked flawlessly after "dialing" it in.
Added a Bikers Choice Crash Bar and added some highway pegs for "stretching". Makes the ride so much more comfortable.
Just last weekend I intalled a Superbrace. Wow, what a difference in stablilizing the front end. Definately a must for every bike.
At the same time, I installed a Cobra II headlight. Really makes the front end look much better than with the ugly stock headlight. I was worried about whether it would fit without an extended mount, but I had about a half an inch to spare.
Here's my delimma: what do I do next?
I want to do several other mods and am torn as to what I should do next:
1) Saddlebags (either LeatherPros or Leatherworks)
2) New Solo Seat (either Sick Saddles or Mustang: 13 1/2 Vintage Solo or
16 1/2 Wide Touring Solo)
3) Detachable Sissybar to replace my rigid mount (don't want it on when I
ride Solo
4) True Track or Sputhe stablizer
5) upgrade suspension (Progressive 440/upgraded fork springs)
6) Recurve windshield (Clearview) to help reduce buffeting (along with
lowers)
7) 14 inch Apes
8) Lightbar (Headwinds)
Any advice would be appreciated and feel free to comment on the changes I have already made.

i would go bags next i really really like to be able to toss mine on, would blow your mind how much more you would ride the bike... i love that paint line from HD, def one of my fav's
the order i would do: bags, shield, bars, shocks.. then some performance upgrades before the true track
if you want to get rid of that stock headlight let me know! i got a few projects a stock HD lamp would be great on

As I get a little farther along with my mods, I am going to put all my extras up for sale here, including the following: Kuryakyn Iso Boards (with the adapters), 4" chrome pullback risers, HD Sissybar bag, HD pillowlook seat, stock headlight, HD quick-detache windshield (glass only), stock two-up seat, stock pegs, and several other miscelaneous items.
Bike looks great. From your list, I would do the suspension as it would really improve the ride. I had the 440's for years, but upgraded to Ohlins a while ago. Might cost a bit more, but well worth it.
Next, put on a detachable windshield. It will extend your riding season and improve comfort on long rides. Personally, I like the HD quick detach shields. On and off in 10 seconds, no hardware left behind, and work well.
Since you have a luggage rack, you can always bungee stuff on (long sleeve shirt, jacket, etc.) or throw on a T-Bag.
BTW, if you're happy with the way the bike has more "get up and go" with the breather and pipes, you'll love the way it will feel with some good performance cams. (ie Wood).
Have fun.
