DYNA saddlebag alternative options for the legendary T-sport bags
First I'll start by saying, No saddlebags look as good as the T-sport saddlebags on dynas, but they've become almost extinct and if you do find them people want a fortune. For those of you like me that can't afford to spend 2K$ on a set of used T-sport saddlebags , there are alot of options out there that still look nice and you can put your car keys, an extra pair of vans, and a fitted cap in comfortably. Use this thread to post your pics and opinions of different saddlebags that get the job done! This is a few pics of my bike, its a 2007 Dyna Low Rider and at first I went with a set of CoreTech nylon expandable saddlebags and they worked great and looked good. The only reason I took them off is because it bugged me that they didn't follow the line of the shocks.
This exact bag is actually discontinued from CoreTech and the new ones aren't as easy on the eyes. Currently I'm using a old set of dyna convertible saddlebags. To me , these are really similar to the T-sport bags, being they are same size, made out of the same black nylon, and are factory Harley parts. They have a larger leather flap over them but they mount up exactly like the T-sport bags. The only downside is they don't expand like the T-sport bags do, so you can't fit as much beer in them. Here are some pics with them installed...
Also for those of you who don't know, a company called Conely's Accessories are making knockoffs of the T-sport bags(watch the video). They aren't bad, but my honest opinion (no offense to Conely) is these look like a fake Air J's shoe. Sure it closely resembles the real thing but the material and construction just doesn't do it for me. I'd rather save my 699$ and try and go for a real set. Again that's just my opinion. Also our good friend over at SouthEast Custom's Rick has a couple things up his sleeve for saddlebag options. Anyways, post pics and info of your bike and what saddlebags you are running and how well they work out.

Those Tourmaster's are from Ric at Southeast customs. He sells them for $299 a set. I just got a set of the Conely's FXDXT reproductions and took them on a nice trip. They rock and store a lot of stuff. They are wider than the stock bags by 2" when fully expanded. LeatherPro's is making some that are almsot done as well. I plan on getting a set of the LeatherPro's as well so I can compare them head to head for all to see. Here are a few pics of the Conely's.
Fully extended and loaded with two people's stuff.
From another angle
Not extended still with plenty of space.
I comfortable carried two people's stuff for 4 days along with extra shoes, tools, etc over the weekend. We'll see how the Leatherworks compare when they are ready.
