When going 2-up on my 96 fxdl, my wife's (in back, obviously) right leg reeks of gas, so says she. What do I do about this? What causes it? I'm thinking about getting one of the enclosed air cleaners like the hypercharger type. But I would hate to spend that much if it's an easy fix.

I would check the carb and manifold for leaks..Your on your own with the wife..

Check for leaks. If her complaining gets to be too much, strike a match.

Your bike might be running to rich. How black/sooty are the inside of your exhaust tips?
