Default Switchback slip-on question

I have a 2012 Switchback and was looking to get a sloping to improve sound. Does anyone have a good recommendation? Do I have to install a super tuner for the slipons?

Thumbs up

Vance and Hines Slip On is all you need.
Best sounding muffler you can buy..
I had one until I went with a full system.

+1 great pipe with an awesome sound... you dont need a tuner but i am running the VieDs at 60% front and 70% rear.. seems to be the perfect combo..

I put the Bassani Slip-on on mine...Amazed with the power increase...not loving the sound though. Plus I believe you need a tuner for it - mine is turning yellow where it connects to the head pipe....not impressed with that.

I was leaning towards Vance and Hines. The hd dealership said they wouldn't order one for me unless I got the tuner kit and stage one kit and that it was "required" for the slip-on.

What ding bat dealer told you that?!

I, too, am running the vance and hines slip on. It sounds great, looks great, and runs great.

Thanks for the input! I just ordered it online! Harley Davidson of Baltimore told me that. They said that screamin eagles slip-ons were the only ones I could use without the tuner and stage 1.

They just wanted to sell you more ****. I got my V&H from Old Glory in Laurel. I asked about the stage 1 and was told not to waste my money. I would have dropped the coin right there, so they had no reason to be dishonest.

i agree, i installed the V&H and inquired about the stage 1 download and my service advisor said you are running a stock crossbones AC with the V&H you don't need anything as it will be a waste of money..

i went with the VieDs anyway because these things run so lean from the factory..
