Default Thinking of doing some blacking out of the front end...suggestions?

As do most of us with older (especially coastal) bikes, my lowers look like puke. I love the two toned look of my bike and have no interest in doing the flat black. Plans are to PC the lowers gloss black. I don't have the money for a new front wheel, but have considered doing something with the stocker. I do NOT want completely blacked out. I'm considering doing the rotors and maybe the eyebrow, and Joe suggested I do the triple trees.

What do you guys think?

i suggested you do the rotors, trees, lowers, and brow, leave the dust caps chrome, this way it has a nice flow though the whole front end

polish and clear the machined aluminum on the wheel.

it'll look pimp and brand new.

I've never pulled a front end off a bike before, so the idea of pulling the triple trees is a little daunting, I admit.

i disagree with joe on the dust covers, they need to be black as well.

i can walk you right though it... if you end up deciding to just do the lowers, you can just pull the tubes and send them assembled, i can tear them down, coat them, and then rebuild them prior to shipping back to you... let me know how i can help

Thanks Joe. I like the idea of the chrome dust covers, and those pictures look awesome. That clues me in that I need to figure out my front lights first. I'm not sure if they're attaching to the triple tree or not, but if they do they'll also need to get done.
