A bike painted black denim? I'm looking at a 08 street bob that is maroon and if I buy it, I'd like it painted black denim. Is this something the dealer could do?

Thanks.

Um why? If you want it flat bkack rattle can it. If its the same denim red color I had its an awesome color. If its "maroon" its still better than flat black.

It is that black cherry maroon color they had a few years ago. I cannot stand the color, but I may be able to get the bike for close to $7,000.

Thats a good price for a bike regardless of color. If its what you want then get it. A paint job is expensive...but living with an already great color and getting a bike cheap is pricless. Powder coat everything black and itlll be sweet. I think the powder pro recently did a bike with a similar color. Whatever you do screw the dealer unless you have a great cash flow

a good paint shop can apply any color with a matte finish.

Black Cherry is one of my favorite colors, I wish they still had it. I love that color, looks sick when you black everything else out. Give it time, it may grow on you.

If not, just Plasti-dip the tins, pretty cheap and you can see if you like the flat compared to the black cherry, if not you can peel it back off.

I had an 06 Street Bob that I bought new in 2005 that was black denim. I have history with that color and I miss it.

You may even find somebody to just trade tins with you on here.

Personally I think the "denim" paint jobs are crap but only because mine was ruined the first week I owned the bike.I just replaced the tins which is cheaper here in CA. than a paint job.If you think the bike is a good deal buy it and change the color when you can afford it.

My painter (a local hot rod/auto body shop) claims there's 2 ways to get the flat finish...if you can find a decent auto body shop/painter in your area it should be no problem; don't know where you are but if there's a busy chopper shop nearby they may also reccomend a painter. When my FXDXT was apart we even painted the frame to match the re-painted tins (a Mopar blue) and it's held up well and is easy to match
