Default whats a good shock

Hello I just recentally upgraded harleys I went from a 03 sportster to a 08 dyna fatbob. I'm in the market. For doing a suspension upgrade right now the bike has a stage 1 upgrade slipons se high flow intake and a powercomander. I hear progressive is a good choice to go with. Its my gf and myself riding the bike I'm 6'4 250 pounds she's 5'6 160 what would be a good set to go with with out breaking the bank?

Also looks at Works, Ohlins, JRI, or try to find some stock FXDX shocks. I'm about your height/weight and my stock FXDX are nice when I crank the preload up

I've got 12" JRI's on my Streetglide and couldn't be happier. I also ride a Ducati sport tourer with Ohlins suspension and the JRI's compare very well and cost much less. I'd call Howard at Motorcycle Metal. If nothing else you will have the pleasure of speaking to someone who has a real passion for their work.

Winter will continue for 6 more weeks!
No shock.
I very much like the Works streettrackers.
They come with a quick slide adjustment for two up.

If you are going to spend $700 get some JRI's.

In my experience they are about the worst to go with. Just about any of the other shocks mentioned will out-perform them.

If you can get them then get some Hagons. They are better than any of the Progressive range, cost less and they will custom build you a pair to your specs for no extra charge.
