Just rec'd my "new-to-me" FXD seat (thanks, HDF member red_headed_stranger!) and mounted it on my FB. Definitely more comfy than the Day Tripper and pretty good looking too. Had planned on using it for the longer road trips, but just might keep it on the bike permanently.

I think the width of the stocker seat on my Wideglide is the key to it's comfort to me. My other bike had a narrower custom seat that wasn't so comfortable. For what it's worth I think the "new" seat looks better.

 

I like the look of the stock fxd seat but unfortunately it gave me quick case of monkey butt. Its now drawing dust.

O Town D, your bike looks BAD AZZZ!!!! I am a chrome lover but your blacked out FB is the best looking FB I have ever seen. Love the rubber on the forks. Really gives it a beefy look.

 

May be a dumb question, but what is that breather-tube looking thing coming from your air cleaner down towards your pipes?

 

Most likely he's venting the crankcase externally rather than back to the intake.

 

Crankcase breather....and that bike looks superb
