Default chrome Battery band ?

Hey guys with the way I have my bike. I want to get rid of my chrome battery cover band but I nut sure what my options are! I want to black it out or take it off and just keep it all black. I think it would look better with the theme that I have going. Thanks.

You got a pic that sounds sweet. How do you take it off and put a new one on? Heat gun and the new double sided tape of some sort?

If you take it off you will need to fill some holes. You can get rubber grommets for that, I don't recall where. A pic may be helpful. JMO but could it be your obsessed with black? I find little bits of chrome help with contrast. There was another thread here just the other day where members have blacked out either sides or top and bottom of the band but left the logo chrome. Search it out you may find it interesting.
here's the post I mentioned https://www.hdforums.com/forum/want-...tery-band.html

No heat gun required. The band is held into place with taps that connect to the battery box.

My biggest thing is the right side of bike bike looks like a lot more chrome in my opinion (I guess most bike do cause of engine and pipes) I think getting rid of the chrome battery band would help even it out. I agree I like the contrast alot just trying to keep it even if that makes sence.
