Huh? You have a stock wide glide that has mids they usually come with forwards. I am guessing you meant you want to switch to mids from your current forwards? Its a bit spendy but can be done.
I think its about the same as going from mids to forward. To have a shop do it you would be looking at about $700. This is what I was quoted when looking at a street bob and going to forwards. I just went Wide Glide instead.
You'll need a new inner primary, probably a new outer too. And the mid controls, and all the the parts for an inner primary job.... You're looking at way more than 700 dollars unless you plan on doing the work yourself.
It's easier to just put the mid mount brackets and pegs on but leave the forwards in place. If you have trouble with the leg reach, try a reduced reach kit for the forwards.
Hi,
If you dont mind shifting 1st gear up - others down, this is a cheap solution. You get used to it pretty fast. Get a set of used mid controls from ebay. On left side use your fwd shifter but rotate it 180 degrees. Right side just use all mid controls. Cheers from Finland!

Seeing this has me thinking. Can you use a shifter that is the style that comes on bikes with floor boards (where there is one arm for toe and one for heel)? Still wouldn't solve the reverse/GP style shifting, but could possibly use if for forwards and mid controls.
