Default Packing fat chicks

Well I did it. Packing big girls on hot days will fry your motor. I knew better. I only have 60k on a well maintained motor and I'm burning oil. Getting puffs of smoke when I get on it. Right in the middle of riding season too. I am wondering how long I can run it in this condition. I know it needs rings and of course I will do the heads when I tear down. Just hoping I can squeak through another month. Hollister run is days away and I would be really pissed if I missed it. Temp is supposed to be 105 so that wont help either. I would love input or tricks to get me through the summer.

Blame yourself. You knew better!

Burning oil as you mentioned is no big deal. Just keep cleaning those sparkplugs. Then do the work next winter, if needed.
