Default Rhythmic Chirp

I have a 97' FXDS with lowering blocks in the rear (came that way). Anyway, after starting a warming up, everything sounds normal......when I sit down (I'm 185 lbs) a rhythmic chirping starts. If I stand up, it goes away, when I sit, it starts again.......any thoughts? Btw, I have the factory shocks set to the stiffest preload notch.

Might be time for a new pair of shocks. The rubber parts inside are probably worn and drying out causing the chirping sounds. You could spray some lube on the rubber bushings and see if that fixes the problem.

I have a 1998 FXDS and I also had that problem I found it to be the stock saddlebag mounts, where the bag mounts to the back of the fender, were squeaking, the nuts inside the fender was rubbing on the holes in the fender.
