Default new FXDC's are hard to find

Been searching California Harley Davidson dealer inventory for FXDC's and find very few in stock. OTOH, the dealers seem to have an over supply of Street Glides, Ultras, Sportsters and Softails.
I was told by one dealer that HD has quit making Dyna's for the 2014 model year. Any truth to that and if so, why?

Did HD stop (or reduce)production of '14 Dyna models to create a market shortage to increase demand and raise prices on remaining inventory? Are Dyna's the least profitable model for HD?

Maybe its because the FXDC is bar none the best bike for the bucks in Harleys lineup?

I bought my FXDC in spring of 2012 as soon as they put in on the showroom floor & my dealer has only had 1 or 2 since...& when they do get one in, it's gone within a week.

A new FXDC won't sit on a showroom long & there's a reason for that...they're just a damned good looking & all around great bike, and also a great bang for the $.

They don't seem to be very common around here either, although ironically there's a guy in my townhouse complex that also has a FXDC. The dealers seem to always have one in stock, but never more than one.

I think you can answer your own question by what you said in your post. You state that Cali dealers HAVE few in stock. They couldn't have any if they weren't making them.

I have seen them regularly is stores in this area.

You do know that the Street Glide is by far the best selling touring bike that HD makes? Particularly the SGS that have been flying out the dealers showrooms.
