Torque Setting question
Why pay when you can get it free online from HD? Go to the HD website. Top right corner click on OWNERS. Next click on Maintain Your Bike. Click on Owner's Manual. Then Create A Profile if you have'nt done so already. You will have access and be able to download/print the service manual for your specific year/model of your bike. Free.
Ditto. Shop manual is useful even when you hire a shop. It can help you understand what you're paying for. You may also discover that some things are less complicated than you think...
No HOG membership needed. Creating a profile is needed, and then adding your specific year/model bike. Easy and free.
Yep - got it - thanks
But doesnt appear to be an easy way to search an index for say torque settings, etc
Still looking though!!
But at $4.95 for the full download exactly as the printed manual from tradebit.com, that aint bad either
I will get the printed manual at some point but right now was only lookig for torque settings - plenty of help videos all around for the bits I am adding
Any other upgrades though it will be the manual or the local Indy shop

Could you do me a screenshot?
Look in the back of the SM, there should be a table of all of the major torque values (at least there is one in my '08 manual).
As you gain experience doing routine maintenance you'll gain the confidence to tackle more 'interesting' mods like CAMs, bar swaps, etc. Between the SM, and all of the excellent how-to threads here on HDF it's no harder than baking a cake. Just follow the recipe step by step and you'll be amazed at what you can do, it ain't rocket science! For the cost of one or two service/maintenance visits to the Boutique you can buy a service manual, a good lift, and all the required tools.

.. That's not a service manual. That's an owner's manual. Big difference.
