Default Throttle lock

Does anyone use any throttle locks to replace the five-spoked thumb throttle lock device?

There just has to be something better than that.

I really wish they'd have put cruise on these things.

Check out the Throttle mate - it attaches to your little five-spoked star and works great, very easy to enable to disable. My wife and I both have them, and they help quite a bit, still not as good as cruise control, but any throttle lock will not work like cruise control.

The little piece is about 10 dollars and is usually located at all parts counters!

I'll have to give these more consideration. I always have the screw very loose so it would never hang up on me at the wrong time (Murphy's Law) but sometimes you just want to stretch the old right arm and give it a break, know what I mean.

Thanks all for the replies!

I use the cruise-mate throttle cruise assist. http://mycruisemate.com/
replaces the stock star lock. Just takes a flick of the thumb to lock and unlock throttle.

I use a "Brake-a-way", Push a button to lock, self releases when you apply brake.

I would like one of those but they are expensive.

I use the Kuryakyn cruise control. Simple, inexpensive and works well. Here are 2 pics before I put the new bars on.
