Default From a softail to a dyna

Has anyone has gone from a softail to a dyna?

If so are you happy with the switch or do you regret it?

I know of several people who did the opposite and say they will never look back.

Softails are no good on my country's curvy roads. For me the Dyna is the quintessential bike!

I owned a 92 Heritage, and had a 2004 heritage as a loaner for a month, i didn't like the handling of the softails, and the balanced motors feel weird to me, I will never go back to a softail

tryin to start a fire? What do you expect to do with the info you get from a question like this? Does it really matter what other people think about what you buy?
"I know of several people who did the opposite and say they will never look back." Some people evidently don't really like riding so much as posing.
(posing: to pretend to be someone else. As opposed to riding for the thrill of it)

People who ride softails are like the king with no clothes. No one would tell him he had no clothes. Everyone said his clothes were fab.
Kind of like when softail riders tell each other how cool their imitation rigid frames look. When in reality they don't look as cool as rigids and don't handle well at all.
Not nearly as fun as an FXR, Dyna or most other bikes.

I tried a softail, once.

I rode a friends Heritage softail classic. No way. Didn't care for the handling or the sounds that motor makes. whooooosh.

Learn from it.

Doesn't matter one bit. To each is their own.
I could care less.
Really don't see what the big deal is.

Just trying to learn if some people regretted it is all.

Really, the entire depth of my intent was in the original post.
No hidden meanings, no fires, no nuttn.

Don't even understand why this question would be sensitive to anyone at all.

Are you trying to start a fire?

Had a fat boy lo before I got my FXDF. I can objectively tell you a dyna rides and handles so much better. I even find a dyna with fwd controls to be roomier and more comfortable than a Softail with floorboards. I never realized how bad the rear suspension was on my lo until I got my dyna.

No.
Just seemed odd that you would go to the Dyna forum to tell us your friends switched to softails and are glad they did.
I've seen weirder questions though. Like what are the loudest pipes? Or what outfit can I wear to match my Dyna best?

I'm pissed about the lousy tire I just got in the mail. Don't pay any attention.

You sir are reading waaaay too much into my question. Geeeeeeez.......

I mentioned friends who switched to softails because it is the truth.
I do in fact have friends who switched.
Don't see why anyone has to be so incredibly sensitive about is, it says nothing about our choice, just theirs.

I am on the dyna side so I simply wanted to know if I was in a minority and specifically if anyone had come to dynas from softails and had been glad about the switch.

So far two people that previously owned a softail and switched have posted.
