One more question...

Why would I need to change out my cam bearings on a bike with only 2k miles?

Ok,seems the stock bearings are not good enough for a performance cam.

stock bearing is INA has 23 loose needle bearings held by a cage. the B148 torrington has 31 captive held needle bearings much better design

So as I'm reading this, it seems like if I want a full range increase without complete overhaul, the 222's is the way to go for a quick cam swap? I love the pull feeling off the line but also love the ability to pull away and hit the 100+ mph. I tend to be more of a high rpm shifter

trust me, with the 222's and stock 103, you will be at 100 mph before you can blink. they run through the gears quite nice IMO. only way i would trade them is with major engine work that requires more cam.

hi,

nice ride kevin_s, beautiful wide glide

get everything as cheap as you can because you will want more after doing just cams

with the age of bike re-use just about everything if opening it up from the top, golf tee pretty good in fuel line to stop flow on one end or some clamps

dont unscrew oil pump, re-assemble and off you go
thanks
