Apes? T-Bars? How tall?
Adjust both of the throttle cables evenly or they will bind.....doubt it's the bars. Double check how they are routed.
When adjusting these double check that when throttle is wide open that the butterfly on the throttle body is truly wide open and same goes when you are at idle to make sure it's not to tight and stays open.
There should also be some slight back and forth wiggle room on your grip when you leave your grip alone.

Here are the most common problems:
1. End of the grip is rubbing against the end of the bars, pull it out 1/8".
2. Cables have to be adjusted properly after new bars, there are u-tube video's if you don't know how.
3. Don't overtighten the control switches over the grips.
4. Clean the bars and put a little graphite before installing throttle grip.
5. Make sure the throttle friction **** is loose.
6. Make sure that you didn't burr up the inside of the throttle grip when you switched to the new bars.
7. If the bars have too thick of powdercoating on them you may have to sand them down a bit, use fine sand paper.
Good luck. I had the same issue and took me a week to get it back to normal in between rides.
