Both mine are new in box complete with all parts.

The quarter fairings are also new in box complete with everything except detachable mounting hardware which IS NOT part of the kit.

how is it secured on the dyna?

 

I have one of the toolboxes. I think it only fits up to 2005's, it has a bracket that bolts up underneath the ignition. I put a Powerlet pass-through on it so I can charge my cellphone inside the box. It's a really nice part.

 

On my 2003 there are 2 bolts under the ignition where the bracket for the box attaches. It mounts on the right side behind the battery box but just in front of the rear fender. HD should have never stopped making this as it's the only toolbox of this style for a dyna.
