2010Road Glide headlight modification
I changed the headlight from the pre 2010 to the new style to make it easier to replace the bulbs , to get the fairing outer off easier and to adjust the headlighrs from the front. First get the 2010 oval mount plate from the dealer together with the 3 new bolts. Their heads are bigger and they are shorter. And of course the new bezel. Remove the bulbs from the REAR of the old plate held by 8 screws.Attach them to the FRONT of the new oval with the same screws. Take a hack saw or dremel and cut a cross or slot in the round bolt( stud) head. Drill a 1/4 inch hole through the ball seat to the front of the oval plate. Assemble the whole lot with new green clips om the end of the bolts.I took a medium phillips screwdwriver and ground the point off to turn the bolt heads through the holes and you can adjust the lights from the front now.If you keep one bulb off you can work through the hole to line up the green clips and wire plugs for the lights. Assemble and clip in the newbezle. Done.
