Hey Guys just installed Daymaker Headlight in my 09 Roadglide and it sounds like it is bouncing around behind my fairing. I installed it correctly but it is a heavy unit with two headlights and now I am hearing something moving when I hit a bump or pot hole. Any body come up with a way to secure it more plastic peice between the headlights just isn't cutting it.
did you use the metal bracing to sandwich the headlight mounting plate? the earlier (pre 2010) glides had a different headlight mounting system. if you had to change a bulb, you had to remove the fairing. 2010 and newer, you can get at the headlights from the front of the bike.
if you didn't change out item 17 in the attached pic, that may be what is causing your problems.
Yes I used the metal sandwich plate, the plastic that you are sandwiching is the weak part that I think is flexing. I did change the headlight system to the newer style and I still think it was easier to take the fairing off then to remove the headlight to change a bulb.
