Gal battery tender recommendations
I just put a Duralast Gold gel battery on my 2006 Dyna Wide Glide, and was curious if anyone had input as to whether or not I should put it on the tender that I have (for a lead-acid battery)? Or should I get a new one designed for gel batteries?
Thanks for your input!

Your battery charger will work fine, but it is best to use a "smart charger" which senses battery condition and has 3 to 4 stage charging. I use a Battery Tender brand Bought it on sale for less than Amazon
Another option is to use a smaller "trickle" or "float" charger. I wanted the higher capacity in case I ran the battery completely dead and needed to get it charged back up quickly. If your charger has 3 or 4 stage charging you are good to go. If it does not, it will work on your new battery, it is just that the multi stage chargers are better for the life of the battery. Having said all that the battery manufacturer Duralast will probably have a recommendation, see what they say too
