Installing Aftermarket LED Strip As Rear StopTurn Lights
#11
Thanks a lot Randol and nsing for your input and diagrams. I was able to wire them up and they are up-n-running. I decided to just hook up the R, W, BLK wires, (for red running and brake light), and forget about the other 2 connections for the turn signals. It turn out great! Appreciate the help guys.

Exactly. Never mentioned a green light anywhere in my post or that I was REPLACING my OEM rear lighting with em strip bars, that's totally non sense. Anyway, it's a done deal, and they turned out sweeeet!

OK Mr. Sheriff, enlighten me. FYI, there is absolutely nothing illegal in my state about having red LED lights acting as stop lights in the rear of a motorcycle as long as they are visible from a thousand feet away. You can educate yourself and check out Florida Statute 316.221 at your leisure. And as a matter of fact, I don't see much difference between these strips and the Plasma Rods many are running on their Harleys out there. Can we now get back to topic?
For example, removing and filling in the factory tail/stop/turn lights on a pickup truck and replacing them with an LED strip above the rear bumper. According to the FMVSS, this is not allowed.
Now, will you get pulled over? Maybe. Cited? Again, maybe. You are the only one that can determine the amount of risk you're comfortable in taking.
